Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to visit Courchevel?
Depending on what you are looking for will determine which month to travel
Early and late season have some great deals available but on occasion can be a little sketchy on snowfall. January is the coldest month, but also the cheapest month and good for snow
February is a busy month with school holidays for each European country falling throughout the month
March is our favourite month. The sun is out, the snow is settled and usually still falling. You can enjoy your skiing often in blue skies, and enjoy a well earned glass of rosé on a sunny terrace at the end of the day.
April has its’ Easter weeks but is also a nice time to ski with sunny days and spring snow.
Which is the best area to stay in?
Home to the more luxurious chalets & hotels, this area is the place to see and be seen. A quieter area for socialising than the others, many of the bars are hotel based
Courchevel Moriond (1650)
A great base to take full advantage of the 3 Valleys ski area at a more affordable price. Moriond has a more social scene also
Courchevel Village (1550)
Another affordable option, this is in theory a quieter area but the resort is developing quickly to become a popular place to stay
Couchevel le Praz (1300)
Home to many permanent residents, le Praz has a friendly village atmosphere
Is Courchevel suitable for beginners? Do beginners need a skipass? Are there any free lifts?
Couchevel is terrific for beginner skiiers
There are even specific “ZEN” areas, purely for beginners and marked in green on the piste map
Free beginners drag lifts mean a ski pass is not needed straight away and gives you time to get your ski legs before heading up the mountain. We also have some great ski schools available. Just ask for details.
What is there in resort for Non-Skiiers?
There are selected lifts open to pedestrians.
At the top of each is a restaurant/bar, and some nice walks.
Cross country skiing and snow shoeing is also available

Chalet holidays are a very British tradition, which is becoming more and more popular recently with other nationalities. A catered chalet offers 6 out of 7 days half board catering. The chalet host takes one day off a week giving guests the opportunity to explore the resorts’ many restaurants. Chalet holidays are available with or without transport.

Another British tradition, package holidays include transport (whether flight or train), transfers to/from resort and accommodation, whether an apartment, hotel or chalet.
